This VIP Experience allows up to 2 people to assist our animal care team in feeding our giant green sea turtles their lunch.
The cost of the experience also includes entry into the main aquarium, PLUS, a percentage of the proceeds made from this experience will be donated to The SEA LIFE Trust
What will I do?
This experience includes priority access into the aquarium on the date you have booked. The experience begins at 13.30 daily with a safety briefing, followed by your feeding experience.
You will get to access to top of our ocean tank, where you will get amazing views of the creatures who live in here.
You will then be provided with gloves and a life jacket which will help you feed the turtle their food safely. To do this, you will kneel on a padded mat next to our ocean tank, where a target will be lowered into the water to indicate to the turtles that their food is coming.
Their meal will be put next to you, and you will be able to pick pieces of vegetable or greens from the tray and pass this to our turtles.
A member of our guest experience team will be on hand to assist you and teach you all about Lulu and Gulliver; their individual stories, their diet, and their habitats. They can also answer any sea-related questions you may have.
You will also be able to explore all the other amazing creatures we care for in the centre before and after your feeding experience.
Important information:
- You must be 12 years or older for this experience
- Guests under 14 must be accompanied on the experience by a parent/guardian
- There is a maximum of 2 people at any one time
- Suitable clothing and footwear (closed toe/no heels) must be worn on the day
- Unfortunately, there is no accessible access to the turtle feeding platform
- Participating guests will be required to kneel/sit so we advise against participating if guest has problems with mobility
- Participating guests will be required to wear a life jacket for the duration of the experience, which will be provided
- There will be no loose items permitted on the platform (any photos desired can be taken by a non-participating guest)
